This loft of 115 sq. meters located in the heart of Kyiv, Ukraine. A project is executed in style of loft with the use of great number of characteristic elements. An apartment is in new building in the center of city.

The architects’ starting point was to create a loft for a gentleman, rather than a hipster. Martin Architects came up with a bold design that’s not for the shy and retiring. A glass paned wall partly conceals a bedroom from the main living space, which faces an open kitchen, with a fire set ingeniously into its units.

The bold space is adorned with raw brick, cement and wood alongside refreshing designer furniture pieces. A wall of plants framed by reclaimed wood adds both a witty touch and greenery to a dining area. Colours throughout are masculine greys and browns, with yellow accents in rugs and lights, while exposed concrete forms the backdrop to an adventurously-styled bathroom.

The most important feature of this Kyiv Loft is furniture and elements of decor, which were made Ukrainian masters, companies and designers. Furniture of Igor Martin, developed for a company HIS (Home Ideas Supply), made debut in this project. The apartment is also a smart house; everything can be done through a smartphone.

The inspiring interior design captures a multitude of styles, all designed to offer a seamless collection of textures, colors, shapes and materials. Wood, concrete, glass, metal, exposed brick – all these materials found their place in the apartmentâ€s interior design and surprising lines and details were shaped with their help. A green wall in the living/dining space brings nature indoors and a small terrace just above it allows a fantastic view of the mirror-framed ray-textured wall displaying the TV and sound system.

Design details like the fabulous concrete wine rack embedded in the kitchen wall or the perfectly embedded stone poufs give the living space a unique, strong character.

A red container shelters a black and yellow bathroom. The green wall continues down to the lower floor, where an impressive lounge/home office space and a second living space lead to the gorgeous master bedroom.

The childrenâ€s room and bathroom are cheery and bold, creating an inspiring place to grow up in.

The exceptional  rooftop terrace is lined with geometric floor lights and features everything needed to enjoy the best of modern architecture and lifestyle. Looking at the photos, you can see how amazing details were placed in the right spots, creating a one-of-a-kind loft apartment.

The architectural solution is largely due to the place of the house. The house stands on a steep hill from the summit which offers stunning views of the city – Kiev. This idea of a home is to be a tunnel, with two opposing glass walls. All the beauty is revealed only with apices, and the design turned out not quite traditional. Due to the fact that the area is very narrow, limited to the width of the house by eleven, and length by twenty meters, we have raised the building up to three levels. There are two rows of windows with a cabinet on the second floor and bedrooms on the first floor. In the basement is the swimming pool with gym.

When you look at the building, you realize that it really looks like a tunnel but structurally the idea of a home-tunnel was not easy. Large open windows are framed by powerful arched frames. At the same time managed to escape the interior walls and additional supports.
