The Sanctuary
The “First Church of Christ, Scientist” is a historic landmark in Seattle. That makes the 12 town-home units truly unique, carved, into the hollow center of the old domed building. The units share a central atrium, the “Sanctuary†with a stained-glass oculus in the roof, but each has its own address and outdoor entrance.
Penthouse from Space
If you go to Vienna, probably you will spot the penthouse inserted between traditional rooftops by Delugan Meissl in the city’s Wieden district. The penthouse is rooftop addition for the architects’ family, but it feels more like a spaceship that has landed on the roof and will move to a new destination as soon as it gets what it wants.

Iconic houses – Chemosphere
After two years of restoration, John Lautner’s famous Chemosphere house in the Hollywood Hills above Los Angeles, is once again the remarkable innovative design that Lautner created in 1960. The new owners Angelika and Benedikt Taschen first saw the house in 1997 in a neglected state, and set about repairing the building and Lautner’s reputation. “(The house) was unique”, Ms. Taschen recalled. “authentic and intense, idealistic and full of fantasy, non-conformist. I felt immediately that it fit our character perfectly.”
