The farmhouse is decorated in a minimalist style with maximum impact. Finishing touches such as bathrooms from Phillipe Starck, DVD home theatre, a Bose system on the terrace bring the farmhouse to the cutting edge.

Spacious and comfortable, guests can socialise in one of the many different indoor or outdoor communal areas such as the outdoor terrace, the pool area or the living room with a home theatre.

Curved Roof Farmhouse Loft

This mod farmhouse isn’t your typical countryside home. The curved roof gives the house this amazing distinctive silhouette with a striking arched glass wall, flooding interiors with natural light while framing the surrounding view. We love how the architect added this sense of continuity from outside in, extending the exterior walls through the expansive glazed facade and bringing them inside and right through the whole home. Inside, this rustic house style has a modern edge, featuring an open concept plan with an open-to-above entry / living room overlooked by an upper-level modern loft.

Barney Living

The restoration of an early twentieth-century barn in Val Tidone, Italy led to this characteristic project combining traditional and contemporary architecture. A typical farmhouse has been transformed into a holiday home without radically altering its original form.

A simple architectural style has been chosen to successfully respond to the needs of a large family. The horizontal and vertical connection of the surfaces are enhanced by the glass covered passageway-cum-yard and the particular design of the staircase (a key element of the project) which together provide a sense of continuity between the interior spaces.

Light is abundant from the wall-to-wall windows, and exposes the brick the barn is built from onÂ every wall. Itâ€s an explosion of old charm founded only in places like this one.

The reuse of local materials together with innovative technical features from the insulation and natural ventilation systems to the intricate heating system of stoves and chimneys enable this project to resolve the requirements for all-season living.

The winter woodshed is the only new construction on the site which is entirely clad in wood.
