location – Loftenberg https://www.loftenberg.com Stunning interiors Mon, 06 Feb 2017 15:47:25 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=7.1.4 Salt Lake Modern Loft https://www.loftenberg.com/salt-lake-modern-loft/ https://www.loftenberg.com/salt-lake-modern-loft/#respond Sun, 30 Sep 2012 12:02:41 +0000 https://www.loftenberg.com/?p=8201 This Salt Lake space tops much of what we’ve seen in cities ’round the world. Incredible, ebony oak floors are perfectly opposed by pristine, 18-foot ceilings throughout the wide open living space. A 50-foot wall of windows literally drenches the ivory walls and pillars with light.

The impressive master suite overlooks the living space via a wall of glass. Enjoy the four seasons from one of the coziest spots thinkable [the high-end Poliform bed falls in line with most of the other furnishings throughout], or pull the remote-controlled shades. The Broadway Lofts, built originally in 1898 as McDonald’s Chocolate Factory, and famous for bold, gallery-ready walls of concrete and brick, are an art appreciator’s dream. Current owner being no exception, impressive pieces are hung and lit perfectly throughout [we love the Gerard Bourgeois nude], all of which are available for purchase. The kitchen is skillfully ripe for hosting, given the space, elite cooking tools, and appliances from GE and Bosch. An occupant with an eye toward entertaining would be a poetic match — a recent fundraiser testifies to the space’s potential to host any soirée, fête, ball, bash, or function.

The icing on this dreamy cake, we say, is the location, with a plethora of options for entertainment, dining, and social events, alike. The loft is just across the street from the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, and tasty cuisine in all its forms [Italian, Japanese, American, seafood, etc.] is scattered in every direction. Blocks from the SL Farmer’s Market, City Creek, and all things SLC, it’s basically propped nicely in the perfect downtown location. Perfect. Yes…that’s the word we’re looking for.

Villa Arrighi https://www.loftenberg.com/villa-arrighi/ https://www.loftenberg.com/villa-arrighi/#comments Sun, 17 Jul 2011 10:31:47 +0000 https://www.loftenberg.com/?p=4384 Who did not feel the need to escape the everyday, forget all the worries and spend some time in a dream place, far away, for few days at least? If it has happened to you and you want to arrive in a new location, here is the perfect solution: Villa Arrighi, along the countryside, on the border with Tuscany, in the so-called “green heart of Italy”, where nothing seems to be spoiled by the passing of time.

When there, this place seems to be the only place on earth, being surrounded by hills, vineyards, oak and chestnut woods, an infinite pool and the building in itself seems to exist only to please its visitors and to make their staying as pleasant as possible. Villa Arrighi looks like a fortress which defies time;  its majestic look makes it the perfect place for a holiday, as you feel safe, you “breathe” beauty and you feel more at ease than you have ever felt before.

The interior seems to say the entire story of this place, but its present  modernity does not affect the feeling of safety previously offered. The modern paintings on the walls, the furniture pieces, the stairs, the library which makes you feel at home, the perfectly chosen decorative elements, everything around is an example of refined taste, of style and contributes to the general impression of having made the possible best choice and delay your departure.

The Carapicuiba House https://www.loftenberg.com/carapicuiba-house/ https://www.loftenberg.com/carapicuiba-house/#respond Wed, 11 May 2011 21:21:36 +0000 The Carapicuiba House was designed by Angelo Bucci and Alvaro Puntoni. With a name that describes the location of the building- Carapicuíba, Brazil – the house has both an interesting layout and an unusual topography.

Looking at the house from the street, the ground level is hidden to the eyes. The ground falls abruptly to reveal another platform, 6 m below. This is where the main living spaces are situated. Because of the inhabitant’s need to incorporate spaces for an office, the residence was divided into living spaces and business accommodations.

The street level incorporates two different areas, connected by a steel bridge: one that lays on the ground and one that lays on top of the lower levels of the building, acting like a roof terrace. Architects explain how the lower part of the house was created to suit the inhabitant’s needs:

The house is divided into two levels, both below the street level. Its spaces are integrated with the woods, valley, gardens, and pool located at the ground level. The house incorporates the outside nature indoors: a sliding glass door opens the living room into the terrace, creating one large space. The bedroom and the patios can also be integrated at the lower level.

The concrete and glass construction was designed based on the site’s geography and landscape, so take a look at the pictures to understand the residence’s beauty and modern equlibrium.

Industrial in Paris https://www.loftenberg.com/industrial-in-paris/ https://www.loftenberg.com/industrial-in-paris/#respond Sat, 05 Mar 2011 17:33:01 +0000 https://www.loftenberg.com/?p=2599 This loft in Paris has a strong industrial feel from the exposed beams and industrial accessories. With a total area of 200m2 of open space, this sublime Loft enjoys a privileged location, just steps from the Place de l’Etoile and the Champs Elysees, at the entrance of the area called the Golden Triangle.

Worked with industrial inspiration and warm tones, using metal decoration, glass and wood, the loft has all the necessary comforts and equipment on hand. The high ceilings also have skylights overhead to bright up this former warehouse.

Refinement and Comfort in a Beautiful Home Overlooking Lake Austin https://www.loftenberg.com/refinement-and-comfort-in-a-beautiful-home-overlooking-lake-austin/ https://www.loftenberg.com/refinement-and-comfort-in-a-beautiful-home-overlooking-lake-austin/#respond Sun, 09 Jan 2011 16:47:40 +0000 The Peninsula Residence was designed by Bercy Chen Studio and has a privileged location that allows beautiful vies of Lake Austin, Texas. You are looking at a makeover of an 1980’s home which initially did not take advantage of the positive features of its environment. Here are a few words from the architects: “The challenge was to develop a sensitive and inventive result out of a pre-existing condition. Through the use of glass, steel, detailing and light the home has been adaptively reinvented. Reflection, translucency, color and geometry conspire to bring natural light deep into the house. A new solarium, pool, and vegetative roof are tuned to interact with the natural context. Exterior materials and refined detailing of the roof structure give the volume clean lines and a bold presence, while abstracting the form of the original dormers and gable roof.” The interior design is diverse, with plenty of inspiring details. A generous pool contributes to the overall game of form that this residence plays and offers a unique relaxation spot right next to the lake.
