Moebius House

admin — Tue, 08 Mar 2011 18:10:24 +0000

The Moebius House is a project by Tony Owen Partners, a firm that believe in a ‘realizable architecture’ that challenges the norm. The Moebius House is an example of ‘liquid architecture’ whereby projects are designed parametrically using 3D digital software to respond to environmental issues. The house is a mix of retro and modern elements, based on angles and contrasting materials.

I really liked the curves and angles of this house. The retro feel mixed with modern elements look just great. Another nice place to live!

Check out Tony Owen Partners website for further details about this and other projects.

Beautiful Houses: Brentwood Residence in Los Angeles

The Brentwood Residence is a project by Belzberg Architects. Couldn’t find many information at their website but as for the projects I’ve seen there, these guys are pretty good. Located in Los Angeles, California, this house is modern and really beautiful. The mix of materials include different types of wood, stone, glass, concrete and even some steel elements. With wide spaces, clean decoration and really contemporary look, the Brentwood Residence gets the attention of those who like simple, beautiful and effective architecture.

This house is awesome. Clean, simple, beautiful…it has every element I love. The wide spaces combined with glass windows are great. The pool and patio are also really charming and the open spaces give the sensation that indoor and outdoor are integrated, really cool. Another nice place to live.

Check out Belzberg Architects website for further details about this and other projects. See you next time.

Ashley Hicks at Home

admin — Thu, 06 Jan 2011 15:00:13 +0000

The photo from David Hicks’s London apartment in my last post reminded me that his son Ashley Hicks’s Oxfordshire home is featured in the new January 2011 issue of World of Interiors magazine. These photos are from the Ashley Hicks website but there are more in the magazine and I highly recommend picking up a copy. Â It’s so nice to see when I child not only keeps the family business up and running but adds their own touch. Ashley has designed much of the furniture in his own home that is also for sale.

Enjoy
