This immaculate loft interior by Poteet Architects features a lovely, modern contemporary interior design with modern furniture, fixtures and art. The base color of the home is white, with white-colored walls, ceilings and floors. Yet, the home is given vibrancy with the inclusion of wall art and sculptures placed throughout the home – hence the name ‘Collector’s Loft.’
The floor-to-ceiling windows extract plenty of light to illuminate the purposefully selected furniture pieces. Recognizable classics by Arne Jacobsen and Saarinen are positioned throughout the rooms to provide both inspiration and aesthetic pleasure.
Interestingly, the home’s major furnishings – which include the sofa, bed, and table – are outfitted with a neutral palette; the paintings, accessories, and even flowers, on the other hand, engender bold colors and serve as accents. Overall, there is a harmonious balance between the objects and the space.
In addition to the art collection disbursed in the apartment, each room hosts unique modern furniture elements in bold colors to add life into the space. A look into a small living area in the corner of the loft features a bright orange sofa and chairs that help warm up the space as the room takes in sunlight from the large glass windows.
Yellow flowers and a yellow painting pop out at the eye from the all-white dining table and chairs set on a grey carpet. The kitchen, living spaces and library also contain elements of color that catch one’s eye.
The Loft was noted as one of the ‘100 best spaces’ by home décor publication Metropolitan Home magazine, and I can definitely see why, thanks to the great, chic interior design.
