Located on Mercer Street in SoHo, this loft is on a low floor and has little natural light. The design marries classic historical elements with clean modern elements, retaining original details and celebrating imperfections.
This double-height penthouse rises above the city of Shenzhen, China, drawing in natural light through a defining feature of the space – a two-floor interior space partly glazed and open to the idea of “living between the city and the nature”.
Two former apartments in Antwerp, The Netherlands have been transformed into a contemporary home and office. Using coloured walls, the inventive play between the open plan & the cosy, natural light versus subtle artificial lighting, old and new elements merge into a comfortable and colourful home environment.
Designed and owned by well-known designer Steven Volpt, his home features 18′ windows that draw natural light in and allow the inhabitants to feel like they are living in a grand open space.
