O House

Architects Philippe Stuebi and Eberhard Tröger designed the O House in Vierwaldstättersee, Switzerland. On both, the front and the lake side, this sculptural villa shows very expressive and ornamental facades. Facing mount pilatus the white concrete elements are dotted with circular openings that allow glimpses into the two-levelled orangery with its exotic plants, as well as the lounge, the guest tract and the staircase accessed through one of the openings at the ground floor.

Villa Vals

The Villa Vals in Switzerland is a pair of dwellings built into a hillside with the intention of remaining concealed and unobtrusive to the natural beauty surrounding it. Set within walking distance to the famous thermal springs of Therme Vals; a hotel/spa complex that is built directly over the natural springs. Villa Vals is certainly one of the coolest and unique designs I’ve come across, a joint-venture between SeARCH and Christian Muller Architects

Chalet On Rails

Architect Antonie Bertherat-Kioes and her family were looking for a house – and found an old transformer station with lots of industrial charm. They have converted it to a fabulous holiday home.
