Converted stable in Rome

This loft is a converted stable in Trastevere in Rome, the result of a project by Roman architects MdAA. Trastevere was full of such stables until the beginning of 1900’s. Large spaces, developed especially vertically, whose dimensions were obviously dictated by those of the horses and carts.

Penthouse in gothic London

This luxurious penthouse is part of an imposing Gothic revival structure at London’s St. Pancras railway station. For years the 19th-century structure had languished in disrepair. It stood neglected until the mid-2000s, when the Manhattan Loft Corporation embarked on an ambitious renovation. But though the building’s exterior was restored to its former glory, the onset of the recession meant the interior got just a basic makeover. Until now.

Modern Rustic Barn

New York-based architect Russell Groves did a tremendous job preserving the existing structure and bringing modernity to this barn. He knew how to use the height of the building to create even more interest with dramatic Capiz-shell globe chandeliers and with gorgeous furniture, many from his own collection.
