The Glenbrook Residence

The Glenbrook Residence i’s a modern buillding with wide opening glass allowing light into the house and capturing views of woods terrain and landscapes surrounding.Located in Bethesda, Maryland, the residence create distinct yet connected structures allows the house to be divided spatially into the most public, most private and a living pavilion that can become either or both.

The two stone structures surround a glass pavilon within a wooded landscape. The concept for the house was to create three distinct structures: one for the most public programs (entry space, garage, guest bedroom), one for the most private living and a third one where these two meet. Each structures have an outdoor terrace or some other connection to the outside, while the glass pavilon creates the feeling of being outside while inside the house.

The entire residence was designed by David Jameson Architect using wood and other natural materials that last at least a hundred years.
