A perfect job needs a perfect customer
This penthouse is on the top floor of a historic building, an old barn with a new wooden roof. A perfect rectangle, characterized by small openings in the floor and 5 arched windows overlooking the square.
In agreement with the customer who just returned from a trip to New York, the goal was to create an open, bright and light loft like the ones he had seen. The result is a fully white interior, a perfect canvas for the passions of the customer.
The plan is divided into symmetrical zones with furniture along the walls. Everything revolves around a bare metal fireplace suspended in the center built especially for this home. Another focal point is the kitchen – a big, shiny white island and the dining area with wood table.
The sitting – relaxation area is characterized by a coffee table made from an old car engine by the customer himself. The day room has great views from both windows. The large glass sliding door leads to an outside balcony housing a winter garden.
There are both modern and vintage pieces, like an old Mac, a rotary phone, cast iron radiators restored, collection of films and comics, as well as many souvenirs from various trips. Next to the entrance area, behind the kitchen and the dining table a room has been converted into a study / cloakroom and a bathroom with laundry.
At the other end over the day area is the bedroom, connected by a central corridor to the wardrobe – with shoe cabinets and the master bathroom.
All furnishings were custom made by BMitalia, Sondrio. The lighting items are made by Illumina, Sondrio.
